Introduction & Installation

Daelen's Testament of the Otherworldly recounts the incredible journey of a paladin to battle evil in a far off world called Golarion. It is composed of two volumes:

Volume 1, "Otherworldly Archetypes" - 12 new subclasses designed to blend into the original line up seamlessly.
Volume 2, "Codex Of Might and Magic" - A codex of new tactics, metamagic and reaction based teamwork to diversify your tactics and make combat more lethal.

These mods are an attempt to Pathfinderize the BG3 experience, bringing over some of my favorite mechanics in a 5e friendly way. Preview the new subclasses or Vol.2: Of Might and Magic by selecting any of the icons in the top bar.

Installation Notes
  • Volume 1 has minimal overrides and should be compatible with most mods but load it after any other class/skills mods just to be sure. It is recommended to use Mystra's or 5E Spells, especially for Dream Domain and Wretched Soul.
  • Volume 2 has considerable overrides and changes the game fundamentally, load it after anything that changes class/skills/combat.
  • It is intended that players use both mods to get the full experience but they are otherwise standalone.
  • It is safe to remove Volume 1 during a playthrough provided you respec characters to 1 and do not choose any of the added archetypes then save and unload the mod.
  • It is less safe to remove Volume 2 during a playthrough but following the above procedure is your best bet.

  • Flagged several statuses and abilities to better interact with the games systems
  • (Bombardment) The Big Ones should now only be useable once per Long Rest.
  • (Dawnstrider) Radiant Arsenal's glow now prevents invisibility/stealth while it persists.
  • (Dawnstrider) Valkyrie's jump distance only gains 1m per Wisdom, down from 2m.
  • (Dawnstrider) Cleaned up Zeal's interaction with 0 damage hits or hits on non-characters.
  • (Seeker) Arcane Strike (and other features) now specifically require a Finesse weapon in addition to a free hand.
  • (Illumination) Toned down the VFX on Aura of Brilliance.
  • (Illumination) Dazzled enemies can make a Con save at hte start of their turn to shake off Dazzle.
  • (Wretched Soul) Poison Spray is now fixed at 9m.
  • (Psyker) Spell progression properply extended to level 20.

  • Cleaned up major mod compatibility issues. Further pass planned.
  • (Stormcaller) Thundercall now has a CON save and deals half damage on success.
  • (Stormcaller) Electrifying Aria correctly applies its recurring status even if the initial cast misses.
  • (Revenant) Haunt reworked — frightens target for 1 turn; damage you take is shared as necrotic while nearby; only one target at a time; lasts until rage ends or either dies.
  • (Illumination) Tagged as Devotion for oath-keeping.
  • (Illumination) Fixed Sunlance dice scaling and Fiend/Undead interaction.
  • (Wrath) Revelation now maintains your Aspect.
  • (Dream) Mind Sliver no longer double-dips Potent Spellcasting.
  • (Dream) Nightmare tooltips corrected; scaling clarified; damage formula now uses Level instead of Cleric Level.

  • (Chronoknight) Swapped Rewind and Continuity progression so vanilla runs gain earlier actives.
